ENERGY AUDITING
JAMCEM provides a fully comprehensive Energy Auditing Service to cement manufacturers, regardless of whether the requirement is an internal drive for greater efficiency and productivity or due to an external requirement from the local cement industry regulator.
The audit process focuses on the plant specific equipment, raw materials as well as the local final product quality required as opposed to relying on international benchmarking standards, which are often less relevant when the local conditions are taken into consideration. JAMCEM focuses on the various process stages to ensure that the optimum balance is identified between fuel and power consumption is found. The chemical and physical targets, as well as the variability of the various material streams are assessed and the impact on energy consumption is calculated. Opportunities for Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) systems can also be evaluated, where the plant and process conditions are appropriate.
The result of the energy audit is a comprehensive report with a stage-wise action plan for the progressive reduction of fuel and power consumption split into short term, medium term and long term actions. As with all studies and recommendations by JAMCEM, the focus is on low cost, high impact returns for the customer.
