Technical excellence is just one aspect of ensuring that a cement plant is run at its optimum level. It is critical that the personnel of the plant have a clear understanding of their role within the organisation, that the tasks that they are undertaking are providing the correct feedback from the process and that bottlenecks (and their impact upon the operation) are identified and solutions found. JAMCEM Operational Services provide an external view of the operation, identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve operational strategies that reflect the market demands and providing solutions to process bottlenecks.

Part of the JAMCEM Operational services package is JAMCEM Performance Management. The performance of a plant must firstly be measured and then compared to a target or benchmark such that any gap between actual and target performance can be closed. Again, bearing in mind the uniqueness of each plant, specific parameters must be selected which reflect the different costs associated with the geographical location of the plant, different market requirements and company strategy. JAMCEM works with its Clients to design the Performance Management systems, assign the resources from within the organisation to monitor the system as well as defining the necessary actions to close the gap between actual and target performance.
